A fish is a creature (animal) that lives in water and has a tail and fins. Fish spend all their lives in water.
Young fish are known as fingerlings.
The main characteristics of fish are:
- They lay eggs that are fertilized externally (just like amphibians)
- Their bodies are covered with scales
- They have fins
- They use gills to breathe
- They are cold-blooded animals
- They spend all their lives in water.
Activity 2: Examples of fish
They include Shark, Tilapia, Nile Perch, and Trout.
